A Message from Pastor Simon.
by Nick Bishop
We are currently seeing the very best and very worst of human nature during these testing times. Alongside kindness and generosity, we see greed and selfishness dominating the headlines. Quite simply, human sin is a stain upon ourselves and our world. It separates us from a Holy God and spreads hatred, causing death and division.
Whether Covid-19 is a judgement on society or simply a symptom of our dying world that is in labour pains, I do not know. This testing time should drive us to ask fundamental questions about our life, who we love and for what and whom are we living for.
I realise that I have many good friends who may think differently to me on this topic. So please don’t hate on this post. I ask that you would just humbly consider these words.
God bless you x.
Jesus said “You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. A nation must rise against nation, and a kingdom will rise against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains”. Matt 24: 6-8.
“For since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities, his eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made. So that people are without excuse”
