Rev. Simon Page
MINISTER
Rev Simon Page. Victoria welcomed Simon into our ministry team in October 2016. He became the Senior Pastor in January 2018, after Rev. Brian Grist's retirement.
Simon was born in Romford in Essex into a non-Christian family. In 1991, and after some serious soul searching, Simon had reached his 21st birthday and began to pray and seek God for his life. With no previous church experience, the Holy Spirit was clearly drawing Simon to God. Soon an encounter with some Christians in Ilford Town centre, East London, led to his first invitation to church and subsequent conversion to Christ.
Simon developed a deep love for theology and, in 1996, things drastically changed when he felt called to study for a BA (Hons) Theology Degree somewhere outside of Essex, in a strange land called ‘The North’.
After finishing his degree in 1999 and until 2007 he worked as a Minister in the North West of England – namely, Southport, Merseyside, and Blackpool, Lancashire.
Simon has since been involved in a number of creative projects, including an Oscar-nominated short Christian film. He has also authored several books. As well as writing comedy, Simon writes challenging drama with strong themes of salvation and the need for forgiveness and transformation. Simon loves to use his gift of writing and pastoral/teaching to glorify God and lead others to Christ.
Simon is married to Solana and they have two sons, Ruben and Freddie.
