People often ask me what I think is going to happen in the world.  Is this the end times? Will the nation rise? Will the leader fall? Will there be revival, judgment, peace, or conflict?

Some mistake that for uncertainty, but it isn’t.  It is a recognition that God alone sees the whole picture.

The Bible reminds us that no one knows the day or the hour (Matthew 24:36).  Jesus repeatedly warned His followers not to become obsessed with predicting dates or claiming certainty about every world event.  Instead, He called us to stay awake spiritually, to pray, and to remain faithful.

Throughout history, Christians have believed they were living in the final generation.  Empires have risen and fallen.  Wars have come and gone. Diseases, disasters, and political upheavals have shaken the earth.  Yet Christ remains the same yesterday, today, and forever.

This is why I try not to speak with absolute certainty about current events.  I watch. I pray. I discern.  But I also accept that I may not understand everything.

Some traditions of Christianity teach us that silence is often wiser than speculation.  In contemplative prayer we learn to rest in God rather than in our own interpretations.  We listen before we speak. We wait before we judge.

It means trusting that whatever unfolds, Christ is already there.

Our task is not to predict every headline but to remain rooted in love, prayer, and faithfulness.  The future belongs to God.  The present belongs to us.

So I will continue to watch the signs of the times with open eyes, but I will also remember the words of the Psalmist:

“Be still, and know that I am God”. (Psalm 46:10).

Sometimes the wisest response to an uncertain world is simply this:

We’ll see what happens…and we’ll trust God whatever comes.
